Sue is a registered Oral Medicine Specialist, and maintains a specialist private practice Sydney. She has appointments at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Sue has held teaching positions at both the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle; and served as an Examiner for these Universities, as well as invited External Examiner for the University of Melbourne, University of Queensland, University of Western Australia, and Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia.
She continues to be involved in both clinical and laboratory- based research. Sue is also committed to Continuing Professional Development, lecturing nationally and internationally; and has generated publications in peer-reviewed journals. Sue is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS General and Special Fields Stream); the International College of Dentists; and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Sue is the President-Elect of the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia (OMAA). She is the current Chair of the ADA Therapeutics Committee and has contributed to the Therapeutic Guidelines: Oral and Dental V3 (2019).
